Booking terms

Here’s a few things you need to be aware of:
payment terms
Deposits
Deposits are due in order to secure the booking. If no deposit is paid, the booking is not secure and the date will remain available for other people to book me.
Remaining Balance
After paying your deposit, the remaining balance is due no later than 48 hours before the event. Paying in cash on the day is fine, as long as I am notified in advance and payment is made on arrival before I begin.
If payment is not made in line with the above terms, it will void your booking and you will lose the deposit payment made.
cancellations
In the event of a cancellation from your side, the deposit paid will be non-refundable. If the cancellation happens within 3 days before the event date, 50% of the remaining balance will be due as a cancellation fee.
In the rare event of a cancellation on my side, your deposit plus any additional payments will be refunded to you in full. If I am able to arrange cover, you will be responsible for payment to the replacement act, once agreed with you that they can attend.
changes to set timings
If, on the day that I am performing for you, you choose to change my set time - I cannot guarantee that I will be able to fulfil this request as I may have another booking which precedes or follows yours. If I am asked to stay for longer than originally planned, I will need to charge extra for the additional time at your event. This will be charged at a rate of £25 per 30 minutes delayed.
Set Lists
With the exception of special songs, such as for the aisle walks, first dance, or any other song otherwise agreed; I cannot commit to learning specific songs for your booking. If you like, you can take a look at my repertoire, and pick out certain songs that you really love (or really hate, too!) - and let me know so that I can take a note of it.
Otherwise, I’d recommend leaving it up to me! I am very experienced in selecting the right songs for the right occasion, and always tweak my set to suit the type of music that the crowd are reacting best to!
Also - playing a first dance for a wedding is not included in the base rate.
using my speaker
I am more than happy to play music through my speaker, free of charge, during any breaks between sets. Any additional time using my equipment before or after the set will be charged at a rate of £60 per hour.
Travel costs
In addition to the base rate agreed, I charge 25p per mile for any bookings more than 25 miles from my home address - which is CV7 8RJ. This would be calculated based on the return journey using Google Maps.
kara-no-ke
As the person responsible for booking me, please ensure your guests don’t attempt to use my microphone or interact unnecessarily with any of my equipment. There’s nothing worse that trying to sing and someone who has had a ‘few too many’ tries to grab the mic off me! I’m up for a bit of fun and singing with guests, just please help me protect my equipment and keep it cool!
